Description
Two identical used lamella clarifiers (inclined plate clarifiers) in a rectangular design with discharge screws feeding the sludge hopper. Each unit measures 9,700 mm in length, 3,500 mm in width and 6,100 mm in height. Manufacturer and year of construction are unknown, presumably late 1970s.
Lamella clarifiers separate solids from liquids by sedimentation and are often used as a pre-thickening stage upstream of filter presses or decanters, allowing the downstream filter press to be sized smaller.
