What is a chamber filter press?
A chamber filter press separates liquids from solids under pressure of up to 15 bar. Sludge is pumped into chambers formed between recessed plates; filtrate passes through the filter cloths while solids remain as a compact, dry filter cake.
Chamber and membrane filter presses are the workhorses of sludge dewatering in wastewater treatment, mining, chemical, food and beverage industries. A well-maintained used press delivers the same performance as a new machine — at a fraction of the cost and with immediate availability.
- Typical plate formats: 470×470 – 2000×2000 mm
- Filtration pressure: up to 15 bar
- Applications: sludge dewatering, mining, chemicals, food processing
- Variants: stationary, mobile on trailer, membrane technology

Frequently asked questions
What is a chamber filter press?
A chamber filter press is an industrial machine that separates liquids from solids under high pressure. Sludge is pumped into chambers formed between recessed filter plates; the liquid (filtrate) passes through filter cloths while the solids build up as a dry filter cake. Chamber filter presses are widely used in wastewater treatment, mining, chemical processing and food production.
Are your used filter presses tested before sale?
Yes. Every machine is inspected by our technicians before it is offered for sale. On request we run a functional test with you on site or via video call, and we can refurbish machines — new filter cloths, seals, hydraulics service or a new control system — before delivery.
Do you ship machines internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. We organise professional dismantling, loading and transport — by truck within Europe and by container or flat rack for overseas destinations. Export documentation and customs handling can be included.
How do I get a price for a machine?
Use the inquiry form on any machine page or contact us directly by phone or e-mail. Tell us your application, required capacity and destination country and you will receive a detailed quotation, usually within one business day.
Can you help me choose the right press size?
Of course. The right press depends on your sludge volume, dry-solids content and operating schedule. Send us your process data and our engineers will recommend a suitable plate format, number of chambers and any additional equipment such as feed pumps or polymer dosing units.
Do you also buy used machines?
Yes, we purchase used chamber filter presses, membrane filter presses, decanters and complete dewatering plants. Send us photos and technical details of your machine and we will make you an offer, including dismantling and collection.
Looking for a specific machine?
Tell us your process data and destination — we will find the right press for you, usually within one business day.
